Phantom Missouri Election Equipment Committee

MAJOR EXPOSÉ: Since 2005, Missouri SOS has issued at least 27 certification letters for EVERY voting system used in the state—ALL referencing “observations” from a “Missouri Automated Voting Equipment Qualification Committee.” The certification letters (all 27+ since 2005) explicitly state that the Secretary of State, having reviewed the observations of the Missouri Automated Voting Equipment Qualification Committee, has determined the system meets criteria and is approved for use in Missouri elections.

In other words, the approval is directly predicated on this committee’s supposed “observations” and review. Yet the official response to the Sunshine Law request is that no such committee ever existed—no records of formation, members, meetings, agendas, or anything.
This isn’t just a casual reference; it’s presented as a core part of the justification for certifying systems used in every Missouri election for 20 years. If the committee is fictitious, the approvals could be procedurally invalid, raising massive questions about election integrity.
